MILAN (Italy) - May 21, 2009

Great success for the CCTV Conference & Expo 2009 – XII edition

Milan (Italy). Forty-three brands represented, two plenary sessions, a “meeting in the meeting” dedicated to private security, 18 institutional supporters, a number of technical workshops and parallel training courses, 8 media partners among Italian and foreign magazines and over 12 years of conference experience: these are the figures of a format proving successful also in difficult moments.
The exhibition of the best technologies of the market along with highly scientific and normative contents attracted lot of visitors. Despite official figures are not yet available, we can confirm that the CCTV Conference & Expo 2009 had great success attracting to the Milanofiori Congress Centre a high number of key trade players and end users.
The CCTV Conference & Expo offered a wide panorama of video surveillance by getting into all CCTV-related topics according to the key concept of “integration”.
For the first time visitors could find in the exhibition area a space dedicated to private guarding (customers and users of CCTV solutions) and also a ad-hoc meeting was organized during the event where speakers presented concrete solutions to deliver quality in the services provided and to learn to communicate such quality.
Should we sum up the 2009 edition of the event in one word, that word would be “integration” in all its declensions: among technologies, among markets, among key players. Integration and future trends were in fact the key drivers of this edition. The goal was the global perspective of video surveillance to catch real market trends, anxieties and needs of key drivers in such a difficult economic phase. This is why the event hosted outstanding international speakers like Gary Wong (Market Research Analyst, IMS Research, Security Division) and Paul Hennings (Managing Director of IP Focus and IP Security Events) to deal with trends in CCTV over IP and market opportunities in 2009-2012. The Italian rich institutional property, law and research, were brilliantly represented by Maria Antonietta Portaluri (General Director of ANIE), Carlo Renato Loi (Chairman of the European Committee CENELEC TC79), Valentina Frediani (lawyer and expert in IT Law) and Mario Savastano (Senior Researcher at the National Research Centre of Naples).
The exhibition area gave evidence of the great interest in the topic and its applications: visitors crowded the stands where major national and international trade players were exhibiting the latest technologies: 3xLogic, ADT Fire & Security, Advanced Innovations, Aitek, Alfa Photonics, Arteco IVS, Assiv, Axis Communications, Bettini, Borinato Security, Canon Italia, Civis, Comerson, Controltec, Dallmeier Italia, Eutekna, GE Security, GPS Standard, GSG International, Hesa, HID Global, Honeywell, IBM Italia, IndigoVision, IP User Group, JVC Professional Europe, March Networks, Mesa, Milestone, Nexxt, Panasonic, Promelit, Risco Group, Samsung Techwin, Sicurit Alarmitalia, TechnoAware, Trans Audio Video, Vicon, Videoline TVCC, Videotecnica e Videotecnologie.
Culture, brand, market: these were our goals and figures proved they were right.
